With a federal election only months away, Leader of the Opposition and incumbent Prime Bradbury Bill Shorten has today cranked his campaigning up a notch.

While not unfamiliar with the concept of social media, after years of long lunches with corporate donors, Bill Shorten has today declared that he is quite confident that maybe he might have possibly found the ultimate tool in defeating The Nightwatchman.

“It’s called Google+” he tells his skeptical colleagues.

“Apparently it’s going to overtake Twitter and Facebook. The projections are epic and we can be the first to really use it”

“I don’t wanna jump the gun, but I reckon we should talk to GetUp and tell them to redirect all their social media spend into this bad boy”

The Bradbury Of Australian Politics went on to explain that in the same way that Trump got in early on Twitter, creating a profile on Google+ will be imperative to his already very short odds of providing the first stable and united Labor Government since Bob Chifley.

“You’ve gotta go where the kids are” he explained.

“And right now they are steering away from Facebook, and opting to complain about house prices and MAFS on Google Plus”

“The kids don’t even use Bebo anymore. It’s all done through this complicated platform that merges Microsoft office with your email account”
