A local family is settling in for the long haul today as their parents prepare to take them through a few holiday snaps from their trip up to the Northern Territory.
John and Wendy Sheridan took off on their road trip about 3 weeks ago, driving the full 30 hours non-stop from Betoota to the Top End, before setting up camp at a caravan park on the outskirts of Darwin.
“Here, this is your father and I cooking dinner at the park”
“And this is the view from the park”
“Oh, this isn’t a very good photo, John why’d you put your bloody head in front of the camera?”
“This is a crocodile we saw, look how big it is!”
Wendy must have been really impressed with the size of the crocodile because there were at least 13 photos of the one croc, all from a pretty similar angle.
Two-hours into the slide show, their daughter, Gina, managed to sneak away and quietly speak with our reporter about the presentation.
“Jesus Christ. I didn’t think it was possible to be so shit at taking photos. Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing photos of their holiday, but evven if you tried to take a photo that bad, you couldn’t.”
The interview with Gina was abruptly cut short after John began calling her name.
It’s believed John and Wendy are ‘just getting to the good bits!’ Which unfortunately means at least another hour for Gina and her siblings.
“Oh he was a lovely bloke at that campsite near Kakudu” says Wendy.
“What was his name again John”
At time of press both parents has spent thirteen minutes brainstorming what that random bloke from the photos name was.
“Hold up, it’ll come to me in a second” said John.
