Prime Minister Scott Morrison has made it clear that he does not support an Australian republic, during his first ever meeting with Queen Elizabeth II since being elected last month.

Her Majesty appeared delighted to meet with Mr Morrison and wife Jenny, despite the fact that the Prime Minister bowed about four or five times in the what can only be described as an excruciatingly excitable moment for the big fella.

However, his series of David Brent-esque gaffes were quickly dismissed, after unveiling his present for the Head of State.

ScoMo gave the Queen the pungent, unwashed Cronulla Sharks match jersey – which was worn by Andrew Fifita in the 2016 NRL grand final.

“Now, when ya come down to visit us next time, in the Shire, ya better be wearing this” laughed Morrison.

“But seriously”

The monarch reluctantly thanked Morrison, before asking the couple why he thought it was appropriate to travel the world with a filthy cloth covered in the blood and sweat of a Mt Druitt rugby league player.

“Scott just loves his Sharkies” said Jenny Morrison.

“He’s an absolute tragic [haha]”

“It’s signed too.. Fifita is a good kid. You’d love him Liz”

Earlier, Mr and Mrs Morrison also met with Prince Charles at Clarence House, and the Prime Minister delivered a speech to the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce – where he congratulated England for listening to the quiet majority and distancing themselves from the 400 million leftist elites that make up the European Union.

“How Good’s Brexit”” said Morrison, to a cheering crowd of diplomats who couldn’t really understand what he was saying through his thick Australian accent.

Morrison also presented Prince Charles with a present, in a ceremonial exchange quite reminiscent of a late 1990s episode of ROVE Live.

“Now, Charles… Have you ever had vegemite?”

“Haha”
