After the nation has been shocked to find ex-racehorses have been treated the same way as every other animal they eat, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has made a strong vague statement to anyone thinking of killing a horse.

“Horse racing industry should know this is not ‘a go,’” stated the PM.

“I do not mince my words – if this behaviour continues I will possibly threaten to demand that you self-regulate yourselves in the future, perhaps.”

This attitude has come as a shock to the horse racing elite who have been able to rely on Morrison’s support for the industry due to his love for standing next to jockeys for photographs where he looks quite strapping in comparison.

The comments follow the expose on Australian horse abattoirs where horses are being killed en masse for tragic non-meat purposes.

While the law dictates ex-race horses are to be cared for into old age, owners are able to sell their old horses to buyers who then send them to abattoirs in a loophole as massive and as coke-feuled as Flemington racecourse itself.

It is for this reason Prime Minister Scott Morrison has put forward his caution-esque message of potential disapproval to the racing community.

“If you don’t watch what you’re doing you may soon be asked to watch what you’re doing. Mmkay?”

MORE TO COME.
