Local Bulldogs die-hard, Moey Katter (55) has today made an effort to look at the bright-side of his club’s late off-season bedshit.

Following the NRL’s most recent off-field incident, the behaviour of some kinda good but not really that promising young Bulldogs prospects looks to have cost their club a lucrative major sponsorship with restaurant chain, Rashays, which was due to be announced this week.

With three sleeps until round one, this kind of shit is the last thing the plagued Bulldogs needed.

However, Moey is a purist. He says fuck the sponsors.

The Bankstown-based mens beauty specialist says watching the boys play in cleanskin jerseys takes him back to a time before the game was ruined by business interests.

“The jersey looks much better without any of those ugly logos on it anyway”

“Mate. Before they had to worry about all these bloody sponsors, the boys were allowed to play good footy”

Moey also insinuates that rugby league was ruined the moment that players were no longer required to work full time in the Victa lawnmowers factory in Moorebank and only train once a week.

“They’ve gone soft. They should be forced to play a season or two without pay or the free cars. That’s how Hazim and the boys started”

“They wanna play footy like the Dogs Of War? Well that means living hard and tackling even harder”
