The NRL round one between the Manly Sea Eagles and Melbourne storm has gone ahead at Brookvale Oval today, despite the scares of coronavirus.

Thousands of diehard silvertails fans have come out to cheer on their boys in HD light at home, even on the Hill.

Fans say if a respiratory pandemic can’t keep them at home on the couch then a little bit of asbestos can’t ever.

The toxic substance was detected late last season and further testing of Brookvale Oval — known as Lottoland — was carried out following the revelations.

At the time the NRL said the owner of the ground, the Northern Beaches Council, guaranteed there was no risk to public safety because they covered it all with synthetic turf.

As of 65 minutes into the match, the boys from the beaches have scored fuck all points in a performance not really worthy of rooting your lungs with COVID-19 and Asbestosis.

MORE TO COME.
