The punch on the nation has been dying to see is officially on!

After a few weeks of verbal jabs, billionaire magnate Clive Palmer and Western Australian Premier Mark ‘Money’ McGowan are set to jump in the ring tonight.

The fight is scheduled to take place as the biggest bout on the undercard to Jeff Horn and Tim Tszyu in Townsville tonight.

Premier McGowan reportedly agreed to the fight after getting media mogul and Kerry Stokes’ approval.

The pair have been going toe to toe over the last few months after Mark McGowan closed the WA border in an attempt to keep the West Covid-free.

Palmer has made huge amounts of money ripping shit out of the ground and selling it, and wants to run political candidates in the State – so the fact that he is banned from the West caused him to do what he does best, and throw a tantrum.

Clive Palmer mounted a High Court challenge on whether it was constitutional for McGowan’s government to do so, and since then there has been plenty of tit for tat – including Clive threatening to sue the government for 30 billion dollars in damages, which McGowan quickly passed laws to prevent that case going ahead.

However, all of the political jousting looks set to be dwarfed by the charity bout which has been allocated three 2 minute rounds.

“Let’s fucking dance big boy,” said McGowan a short time ago on the tarmac at Townsville Aiport surrounded by an entourage of 16 SAS blokes.

“I’m gonna just use my feet for the first couple of minutes and then try and get in there and land one on his head.”

“There’s no point trying to work the body, but I reckon I’ll be able to outlast him,” said the Premier well aware that if Clive can pin him in the corner it’s curtains for he and Kerry.

Clive Palmer refused to speak to The Advocate about the upcoming fight or anything else.
