Although Peter V’Landys’ plate already looks as full as a front-rower’s at a buffet, it’s reportedly set to get even more piled up in the near future.

Following the news that Cricket Australia has decided to move on CEO Kevin Roberts after an interesting couple of years, it is being rumored that Peter V’Landys is set to take his job too.

After very successfully piloting the NRL and Racing NSW at the same time, the man who took the Australian sporting community to the moon is reportedly now in the crosshairs of Cricket Australia.

“The NRL is smooth sailing now, so he could easily jump into the CA building and steer us through what could be the most difficult chapter in history,” explained a Cricket Australia insider who requested anonymity.

“Or maybe it could be funny if we appointed Todd Greenberg for a laugh, and then got Peter to talk shit about him for months until we sack him.”

“I mean, if there’s one thing that can be learnt from Peter, it’s that you’ve gotta keep your code in the headlines, so that could be good to help build the narrative ahead of summer.”

V’Landys is yet to comment on the rumours, but is expected to take the job if it is formally offered to him, just for a bit of laugh.

More to come.
