Wondering whether they actually have to go to all these extreme biosecurity lengths like the rest of the clubs, club figure Mal Meninga picked up the phone to get to the bottom of it.

“Gus, do we have to do all this shit too? Or should we not bother,” the Titans Head of Culture asked the NRL CEO in waiting.

“Like, I know there’s a heap to keeping a squad of Rugby League players from playing up, so I’m just wondering if you need us to jump through the hoops, or can we just sit this one out?” Meninga continued.

This comes as all of the clubs prepare to isolate players ahead of the May 28 season re-launch dubbed Project Apollo.

Meninga told The Advocate that Gus said the Titans did have to go through the same motions as everyone else, in order to play the 6 pm Sunday Night Games and concede 50 points.

“Yeah, he said that if they are bothering to fly the Warriors over, the least we can do is get bio-safe too keep them company as cellar dwellers of the league,” Meninga said.

“Just to make sure the boys pin Bryce (Cartwright) down and make sure he takes his medicine.”

“Fucking hell. Here we go,” Mal sighed before telling us he had to break the bad news and hung up.
