A bloke whose entire political career has been based around detaining desperate asylum seekers and refugees whose bridging visas have been expired for 6 hours, has come out strong in his criticisms of the Queensland government this week.
Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton MP, a man incapable of deporting any Maoris or Muslims without sending a press release to the Murdoch newspapers, has continued his campaign against Premier Palaszczuk.
He says her decision to keep Queensland’s borders closed to limit the spread of COVID-19 up north is nothing more than a political tool aimed at helping her win another term in government over the nameless LNP candidate.
Mr Dutton said keeping state borders closed made “no sense”.
“It’s driven by politics at the moment which I just think is frustrating a lot of Queenslanders.”
These comments come as a surprise, given Dutton’s track record of only allowing fast-tracked visas to French au pairs at the request of Liberal Party donors.
“It’s not based on medical advice and that’s the Prime Minister’s point as well.” says the same politician who has repeatedly refused medivacs to pregnant women and gravely unwell children locked up on his offshore concentration camps.
Mr Dutton said “practical problems” such as families separated from their children should drive the borders open.
These practical problems apparently don’t apply to the young Tamil family from Biloela who had their doors kicked at dawn in by a Border Force raid 12 hours after their bridging visa expired, before being separated into seperate vans and incarcerated for over 850 days despite desperate pleas from their loving rural community to let them come home.
In the days since these comments were made, Peter Dutton has once again been exposed as a dumb cunt with nothing useful to add to political debate – after a border violation resulted in a cluster of ten new cases in South Brisbane.
In an effort to save face, he has since pulled back from offering populist soundbites on his preferred ego-stroking talkback radio stations who convenient forget to mention the fact that Dutton himself was personally responsible for one of the earliest COVID-19 outbreaks in Queensland.
LNP insiders predict he is likely to remain quiet, until his next attack on the ‘leftist’ ABC for investigating the suspicious circumstances in which he left the Queensland Police Force.
