Greens Leader Richard Di Natale has fronted the media in Melbourne this morning calling for drastic action on flooding, and the cruel things that it does to animals.

Following the estimated deaths of 300,000 cattle in North West Queensland, The Greens, in partnership with PETA, the RSPCA and that other animals rights organisation that has been leaking farmers’ phone numbers – has today called for the urgent ban on floods across the country.

The Greens Party leader and senator from Victoria said he and his party members agreed that a total prohibition should be placed on weather events like a once-in-a-life-time flood in North West region after they saw some pictures of dying cattle.

It is not yet known if Four Corners have cameras on the ground in Cloncurry – but one thing is for sure, the entire cattle industry will be made to suffer because of this one off event that the cattle industry really had no part in.

With his knee springing forward sporadically during the press conference, Di Natale explained that the weather events should be banned in order to ensure that inner-city residents aren’t confront with pictures detailing the harsh reality for many people living in rural and regional Australia.

“I don’t even think we should be allowed water in these areas. Not at this rate. Not until my voter base has calmed down.”

The ALP has joined the Greens in their hysterical response to these emotive images and clarified that they too believe farmers are somehow responsible for this tragedy that they have been working tirelessly to avoid without proper dams and any other form of promised infrastructure.

There has even been reports of inner-city Greens voters collapsing of thirst, after the images sparked a grassroots movement to boycott of water.
