A Betoota Grove man says he’s exhausted this evening after a long day of volunteering for the Liberal Party outside Lake Drive Primary School.

Hanging his black puffer vest up for his Mum to have dry cleaned later this week, Conor Douglas-Smith told our reporters outside a popular neighbourhood wine bar that the election is in God’s hands now.

That and he’s been left wondering why a number of voters quized him about Scott Morrison shitting his pants at the Engadine McDonalds in 1997 after the Super League grand final.

“Bit weird,” he said.

“But, ah, yeah. It’s going to go down to the wire here in the Maranoa but I think David Littleproud will get over the line,”

“This whole thing about Engadine Maccas is so odd. Everyday people, young and old, would ask me if the rumours were true. Even I don’t know if it’s true. It doesn’t sound like something Scott would do, but you never know. I can kind of see him shitting his pants but as if it matters? He’s the strongest leader.”

The Advocate reached out to the Office of the Nightwatchman for comment but have yet to receive a reply.

More to come.
