Unregistered voter Patrick Mulroney (34) has stuck it to the man and put himself first in line to be stopped by coppers today by wearing a cap with an embroidered cannabis leaf on it in public.

Describing himself as being between schemes, Mulroney took to public transport to visit a casual acquaintance just to have something to do other than use headgear to promote the fact he enjoys smoking marijuana.

Donning the cap with a shiny green cannabis leaf on the top, Mulroney hoped it would differentiate him from the other sheep on the bus, who were all commuting to their places of work wearing clothes that did not have images of drugs on them.

Playing System of a Down through a speaker he got free in a packet of Nutri-Grain five years ago, Mulroney stretched a leg across the other side of his seat just in case his appearance and smell was not enough to deter other passengers from sitting next to him.

Although looking like the star of an anti-cannabis commercial, Mulroney is actually a vocal advocate for marijuana legalisation, going as far to call it the only political movement he cares about.

“Is it a drug or is it a plant?” asked Mulroney who as an adult, should be able to understand that something can be two things.

“How about they do their jobs instead of profiling me for not even doing nothing.”

When Mulroney finally arrived at the home of his casual acquaintance, he discovered they were not home and opted to walk home while doing a Facebook live stream that had a maximum of three viewers, one of which was his aunt asking if he wore his cannabis leaf hat to a recent job interview.
