The new Tiger King series is set to have a distinct Aussie flavour the Betoota Advocate can reveal this morning.

Speaking exclusively to us this morning Russel Crowe has revealed that he’s taken a role in the new fictitious depiction of the Tiger King chronicles.

The popular show depicts the going’s on of the Big Cat scene in the United States, and it’s extremely colourful characters, who may create more drama than any Hollywood writer ever can.

“Yeah, I thought, fuck it, why not,” explained Rusty via Zoom this morning.

“I got hooked on the Tiger King show hard, so when they called and asked if I wanted to play Jeff Lowe, I thought it could be a bit of fun.

The Bunnies co-owner explained that he hasn’t played someone this cooked since his big break out role in Romper Stomper.

“Probably not even Roger Ailes,” he laughed.

“Yeah, I don’t know if I’ll be able to do Jeff Lowe justice, but I’m certainly looking forward to rocking the flat brim and wallet chain,” explained Australia’s favourite kiwi.

His casting as the Lowe comes after Nicholas Cage was revealed as the man who’d play Joe Exotic, the central character in the original documentary series.

Crowe told us that he’d also heard Lachie Hulme will be asked to play Doc Antle, another cult figure in the Big Cat Industry.
