The world’s biggest event in the wrestling calendar has today been overshadowed by a humble Australian reality television show.

Vince McMahon and the WWE have had their signature event Wrestlemania, now in it’s 35th edition, overshadowed by the heavily produced and scripted program masquerading as a ‘social experiment’ called Married at First Sight.

According to the nation’s sisters, WWE is the prime example of scripted television where storylines and narratives are concocted to create the best entertainment.

Wrestlemania 35 featured the first female Main Event in history and was by all accounts a hell of a show.

However, the head of the WWE’s script writing department explained that they were blown away by the production quality of Married at First Sight.

“Holy fuck,” said the blown away script writer.

“Hell in a Cell ain’t got shit on this stuff.”

“Giving them alcohol and locking them in a room until they fight. And then getting them to cheat on each other, and selectively showing each of them doctored footage.”

“My word, I don’t know if Stone Cold Steve Austin could go toe to toe with Cyrell.”

“We need to get Cyclone Cyrell in the ring.”

“I think we need a collab, we get these guys to enter the cage after the dinner parties, and we get Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler to do a voice over.”

“Something to think about.”
