In what came as a real kick in the stomach this morning, an ABC journalist has been informed that horse racing has been operating across the nation for the last few months.

Despite the nation grinding to a stop as a result of the whole coronavirus thing, with the economy shutting down and all sporting comps called off, the horse racing industry has continued through it all rather seamlessly.

“What?” said the outraged terrace house resident this morning after hearing the news.

This comes after Nine Entertainment, News Corp, and the Commerical TV channels surprisingly didn’t make any fuss about the industry continuing on despite the very obvious coronavirus risk for some reason.

“How was horse racing allowed to just carry on business as usual,” said the flabbergasted reporter named Aldous Simspon.

“Everything else was made to stop. Why didn’t anyone tell us about this,” explained the man who only pays attention to horse racing during the first week in November.

“I had no idea it was even on. Bloody hell.”

“I better get working on an op-ed now.”
