In a somewhat odd story from Betoota Heights this morning, a young lady named Alsion Lee has today decided to eat a peculiar meal.

The young solicitor explained to The Advocate that she decided to try something different, and consume her microplastics before they get diluted down the food chain.

“Yeah so I just had a big few squeezes of my exfoliating scrub, instead of waiting for it to wash down the drain, into some smaller fish then into some bigger fish then into my dinner in a few month’s time,” she laughed.

Her comments come after years of warnings about microplastics filtering into our seafood and being discovered in human bodies.

Lee, who describes herself as a pescatarian (mainly on weekdays when she isn’t half cut) or someone who only eats meat in the form of seafood, explained that she just thought she’d cut out the middle man.

“I mean, if I’m going to have it in a tin of tuna down the track, I just thought I’d sample it straight from the top,” she explained.

“It tasted like shit though. The organic chemicals aren’t that great really.”

“So I’m definitely going to stick to the watered-down version from now on,” she laughed.
