A number of the self-described ‘sane’ members of The Liberal Party met with a prominent Canberra oncologist this afternoon, asking for advice on how to remove God, plus his overly polite and pensive son Jesus, from their organisation after their looming election defeat.

The members, who asked to remain anonymous, said that the Liberal Party base has shifted somewhat recently and they need help removing the remnants of the Howard years.

Speaking exclusively to The Advocate via telephone today, a senior member of the Liberals explained that Christianity has done more damage to the democratic process in the country than an errant orgasm ever could.

“We’ve been to see a few surgeons and oncologists today. Charlie Teo said come see him if everyone else says no,” they said.

“But it needs to be done. Only when Dutton is back radaring tradies on the side of the Bruce Highway and Tony is riding a fibreglass surfboard between the flags at Manly. Only then can we move on as a country. When the Jesus is out of the Liberal Party, we’ll basically be Labor,”

“And that’s how we’ll win the next election after this one. By being a strong cup of Labor-based cordial.”

The Advocate reached out a handful of Canberra-based oncologist but none were willing to comment on the meeting today with the Liberals.

More to come.
