The global left-wing movement is currently sitting upright in disbelief this morning, following the news that Joe Biden has picked Kamala Harris to be his running mate in the 2020 US election.

The pair will take on US President Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence at the ballot box on November 3.

The announcement comes less than a week before the Democratic Nominating Convention, which is pointless at this time, because Bernie Sanders has pulled out.

The news comes as a shock to the system to the online left-wing elite, who can’t seem to understand how two people from two different generations, with slight but noticeable differences in their political ideologies could possibly work together.

Twitter is alight today, with the two camps of people who were both delusional enough to think either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders could have won the 2016 election if it weren’t for either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders undermining the other.

“I just have no idea how this is going to work.” tweeted one vocal Brooklyn-based white middle class feminist by the name of Elsie (31) who became political radicalised by Lena Dunham’s TV series GIRLS in 2014.

“Nothing is going to get done”

Members of the Australian Greens and ALP Left factions are also equally confused.

“This idea of class solidarity is a myth” says Jason Eatcake (34) a white-collar union organiser from West End with purple hair and a bullring peircing.

“Sure, an older white man who played Scotty Pippen to Barack Obama for two terms with a deep foreign policy experience, pairing with a younger Black running mate from an immigrant family who has been in the Senate just four years yet still has managed to carve out a national profile, looks great on paper”

“They might even win the election and overthrow Trump”

“But I just don’t see how this partnership is going to change anything when it comes to common goal…

“… dragging every white man in a suit out of their skyscraper offices and having them guillotined in the centre of Wall Street and replacing all bitumen roads with lush meadows of green grass, and legalising every drug in the world”

“How does these two people working together do anything to help cancel the high profile public figures who have made cultural and social gaffes at some point in the early stages of their career”

“The left is has lost its way.
